31/10/06:- Smart City tells the story of the flourishing city of Kochi and its underworld activities. Madhavan, is the underworld don who decides Kochi’s day-to-day processes. With the development of I.T sector and the soaring real estate prices, real estate falls in the laps of mafia, who spell menace among the rightful real estate owners. Kottooran Group, the most sinister among them. Madhavan is very much against their injustice towards property owners. This leads to a lot of face-offs between Kottooran and Madhavan. This brings a lot of changes in Madhavan’s life.
Madhavan and Govindan together ruled Kochi once, but Govindan retires from the field to lead a peaceful life. Govindan, although couldn’t lead one, because his daughter Sarada’s husband Sarath Chandran fights with her all the time, accusing her of having adulterous relationship with Madhavan.
Suresh Gopi once again become don through this movie. Smart City is B. Unnikrishnan’s first film as director. Manoj K Jayan plays a positive role in it. Lakshmi Gopalaswami and Gopika are the female actors.
There are lots of technicians, who are new to our industry that the film introduces. Cameraman Velraj has handled the camera for Hindi flick ‘Phir Hera Pheri’. Music director Manikanth Kadri has won the Kerala State television award for best music. The film is shot at Kochi. |
