Jayaram’s new film Pauran is a political thriller directed by Sundardass for Dolphin creations.
Divakaran(Jayaram) is an upright young leader with communist ideologies, who cleans the party of its evil and corrupt leadership. Divakaran’s father was a communist leader Kunhikannan, who was killed by the power hungry communists.
Divakaran's mother is an ordinary labourer and he manages to win the elections and become an MLA. Divakaran is loved and respected by everyone but as he climbs up the political ladder, he has to face some powerful enemies inside his party.
Geetu Mohandas is the heroine and she plays Annie who is Divakaran’s childhood friend. They had grown up together and Divakaran has a soft corner for her. But he gets her married off to Thomas (Riyaz Khan) who is an MLA. All the hardships that Divakaran faces and the relationship between himself, his best friends Anne and Thomas form the rest of the story . The cast also has Kalabhavan Mani, Vijayaraghavan, Urmila Unni, Jishnu, Sai Kumar and KPAC Lalitha
The script is by Sajivan and songs by Gireesh Puthenchery. Music is by Raghu Kumar and Shanki Mahendran, son of noted cameraman Balu Mahendra is the cinematographer. |
