In ‘Detective’ Suresh Gopi will be seen doing double role. It is directed by freshman Jithu Joseph and produced by Mahi under Superstar Films banner.
Mohan Kumar, a noted young politician’s wife Reshmi Mohan suicides. This causes uproar in the ministry, as there was no known reason for her to do that and lot of mystery attached to the suicide. Thus a case was filed and when the police could do anything it is handed over to detective wing and shrewd officer Shyama Prasad is given the charge of the investigation.
Shyama Prasad is Mohan Kumar’s half-brother but both don’t see eye-to-eye because of family dispute. Mohan Kumar believes he won’t get justice from Shyama Prasad. But Shyama Prasad is unbiased when it comes to investigation and during the process he makes some shocking discoveries.
In the film, both the characters that Suresh Gopi plays have different characteristics, although they are half-brothers. Suresh Gopi has realized that his repetitive roles that he has been accepting have caused a declension on his star status. So he is accepting only roles that will remodel his image. ‘O positive’ is another flick in which Suresh Gopi will be doing double role.
Jithu Joseph has decided to go for a subdued narrative for the film, rather than the garish story telling mode that you usually see in Suresh Gopi starrer’s. Director says that it will be the highlight of the film and it will be interesting for the audience to see Suresh Gopi in double role with different personas.
‘Detective’ will release on February 9th and shooting is being wrapped up quickly. |
