By birth her name is Diana Mariam Kurien, but known as Nayanthara who is a heartthrob of Tamil Nadu people. Hailing from Kerala, She won a Model contestant in 2003. She started her acting career in Malayalam industry by starring opposite Jayaram in Manassinakkare. After doing a couple of movies in Malayalam she was recognized by Tamil industry and was given offer in the movie ‘Ayya’. Though it was to do with a ageing actor, she accepted the offer. She was a hit and she was flooded with offers ever since in both Tamil and in Telugu industry. Nayantara acted in Ghajini which was an instant hit and her other movies like Vallavan flopped. It was rumored that she was in relationship with the hero of the Vallavan movie, Silambarasan.
Their hot kiss pictures and videos went around the net and it created such a fuss that even the banners having that photo was there is many parts of the Chennai city. Later they broke and reasons for it were not revealed as usual. Then she concentrated her career and gave hit movies like Billa, Yaaradi Ne Mohini. After this nayanthara film Aegan starring opposite Ajith Kumar was a flop and another movie ‘Villu’ with actor Vijay too didn’t make it big in the theatres. She is recently said to be in affair with actor cum choreographer cum director Prabhu Deva though she continuously rejects it to the press people. She is now making her entry in Bollywood industry by starring opposite Salman Khan. Hope this brings her luck.
