Toyota had planned to reach their Indian market by launching a new hatch back variety of car named as ETIOS. Toyota had planned to launch its new variant hatch back in the Auto expo to be held at 5th January, 2010.

Even though the date of launch is nearing the company had not yet released any photograph of Etios. The Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) had planned to produce nearly 70,000 units of this new brand Etios every year. They are planning to attain a destination of about 10 per cent of small car market in India. The company has also planned to launch this variety of cars in other countries like Russia and South America.

This car is estimated to cost around 4.50 lakh to 5.50 lakh. It is designed with a petrol engine of 1.2 ltr. The sitting capacity of this car is 5 members. It has a power steering with a front disk and rear drum break. 5 manual gears are provided. It also has some facilities such as Power Windows, Central Locking via remote, Remote Booting system, Remote Fuel Filler, Rear Wiper, Rear Defogger and manual adjusting driver seat. The door mirror on the driver side is electrically adjustable.
