Priyadarshan for his next film was in search of an apt title that would give a strong feel about what the film is. At first he named the film as ‘Gangaajal’. But then the lead actor of the film Ajay Devgan made a note to the director that the title has already been taken and used by director Jha. Ajay Devgan was the lead actor in that film too. So the director who was keen in selecting the title had to search for another good title which would tell more about the film.
Nishaad
 The film shooting has also begun without naming it and it’s almost over. The movie is about the forbidden inter caste marriages in Bihar and intense caste issues. At last the script and dialogue writer of the film came up with a title ’Nishad’ and it was accepted by the director as he felt it was the kind of title he was looking for. Ajy Devagan, Akshay Khanna and Bipasha Basu are playing the lead roles in the film ‘Nishaad’. Priyadarshan’s last film was De Dana Dan starring Akki, Katrina, Sunil Shetty and Sameera Reddy in lead roles. De Dana Dan was completely a different movie when compared to his current project which deals about sensational and intense issues. Â
