The fifth Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards have been given to the top performers of Indian cinema yesterday. Amitabh Bachchan bagged the Lifetime Achievement for the second time. Amitabh Bachaan was present with his entire family in the event.

The King of Khans, Sharukh Khan bagged the best actor award for the film “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” and the best actress award was awarded to Priyanka Chopra for her acting in “Kaminey”. The best director award was awarded to director Murugadoss for the film “Ghajini”. Shahid Kapoor bagged the Chevrolet Heartbeat of the Nation Award (male) for the film “Kaminey” and Deepika Padukone (Fmale) for the film “Love Aaj Kal”.

The other special awards awarded at the event are Guinness World Record for the Most Public Appearances to Promote a Film to Abhishek Bachchan, Outstanding Debutant director award to Ayan Mukerjee for “Wake Up Sid”, Best Female Singer award to Shreya Goshal for the song “Tujh mein rab dikhta hai”, Best Male singer award was given to Mohit Chauhan for “Yeh Dooriyan”. The Best Story Award was given to Imitaz Ali for the film “Love Aaj Kal”, Ajay Devgan won the Best performance in a comic role for the film “All the Best”. The event was held in a grand manner with Sharuk Khan performing in the stage after many years and the hottest couple of Bollywood Saif-Bebo enthralling the event by performing to their hit tunes.
