The Yamaha YZF-R15 from the India Yamaha Motor was an all new kind of sports bike, providing a new experience to the Indian riders, catching the eyes of the youngsters. It was launched in June, 2008 in India. It was exciting for the people to see the bike with the styling of the Yamaha R-series. The single cylinder, 4-valve, 149.8cc liquid cooled engine delivers a powerful riding experience. It stands out with fuel injection system, which is absent in other sports bikes in India. It comes with six speed transmission and 1290mm wheelbase. The fairing done, gives a sport bike style, though the 100/80 sized rear wheel seemed to be so small and not matching with the front end of the bike is a little disappointment.
