Yamaha has launched its third international bike V-Max in India. V-Max is an iconic representation of Yamaha which can be unmatched by any other bikes in the world.
This powerful beast is made of 1679 cc, four cylinders V4 engine that produce 200bhp at 9000 Rpm and 166.8Nm of Torque at 6500 Rpm. V-Max can speed up to 220 Km/h that can cover 400m in less than 10 seconds. YZF-R1 and the street-fighter MT-01 are the first two international bikes release in India by Yamaha. Harley Davidson and Honda have already have launched their powerful international bikes in India. Kawasaki Ninja 250 is on its way to land in Indian market.
Yuki Mine Tsuji, Managing Director and CEO of India Yamaha Motor said, “I am hopeful that these bikes will get the same kind of enthusiastic response as our recently-launched other products got. The company has registered a year-on-year growth of 80 per cent during the month of January to August and we expect the coming months to be also fruitful.†He also said that Yamaha India is expecting three times of the usual sale in the following festival season. Yamaha India is aiming to achieve 10% of market share by 2012.
Recent releases of Yamaha are R15, FZ16, FZ-S, FAZER and the Masculine V-Max. V-Max will carry a price tag of Rs.20 lakh Ex-Showroom New Delhi. V-Max was first launched in International market with 1200cc engine and later in 2005, looks were improved and engine was upgraded to 1700cc.
