Vairam is a serious film with a highly intensified concept in it. It is based upon a real life incident which describes a father’s feeling of anger, vengeance and pain when his daughter was murdered after brutal sexual harassments. Pasupathy has played the role of father and his acting in the film is highly appreciated. He has become one of the finest actors of South India. The film has many star actors like Suresh Gopi, Kalabhavan Mani, Mukesh, Jayasurya, Dhanya, Samvrutha Sunil and Meera Vasudev.
Sivarajan is a bank employee who works in a rural branch of Kerala. He is a Tamilian who married Devi, a Malayali. They have a daughter Vairamni, a twelfth standard student. It was all fine and pleasant till the last day of Vairamani’s school. She did not return home from school that day. The next day her body was found in an abandoned well by the police. Sivarajan, finds that there are mysteries in his daughters death and decides to kill those who are responsible for his daughter’s death. Series of events caused by his vengeance finally let him to a life time imprisonment.
This is director turned politician M A Nishad’s fouth film and the best of all his films. He has presented the film in a genuine way that even a family audience can digest the seriousness and feel of the film. The film is made under the banners of Cinema NSR India and produced by N Siva Rao. Lyrics by Girish Puthanchery and music scored by M Jayachandran. Vairam, Overall is a worth watch film which exhibits fine talents of the director and actors.
