Mata Pita Guru Deivam is an old saying which means Mother, Father and Teachers are equal to God. Teachers are given such a high respect and value because they enlighten us with profound knowledge and power while parents gave life to our body and teachers gave life to our soul. We are always thankful to them and as an expression of thankfulness we celebrate teacher’s day in India every year on September 5. Teacher’s day is a tribute to the teachers for their incomparable deed of preaching and their devotion and hard work.

Thank you for the article .
Definitly, Teacher is a second God who moulds us as a human being and teaches us to leads a better of life.

Teacher(Guru) can be any body not necessaryl it must be a school teacher.
    In sanskrit it is said

“Gurur Brahma gurur Bisnu, Gurur Devo Maheswara.
Gorur Sakshat parambramah tasmaiye shree Gureve namha”.

    Means:
Guru(Teacher) is God Bramha(Creater of the world). Guru is God Visnu(Saviour Of the World) and Guru is God Shiva(Destroyer of the world).
    So I Salute the ‘Guru’.
