Bajaj make this festive season, a great one by launching the long awaited, kawasaki ninja 250r. it really feels great that, world’s renowned 250cc bike is now in india. ninja looks cool with its large fairing, giving professional sports look, 17 inch alloy wheels, matte black exhaust and many others. sources say that the bike is tagged, Kawasaki ninja 250  price of 2.7 lakhs, which was quite expected.
Baja announced the launch of ninja long back, and made the bike enthusiasts wait for a long time, and finally the ninja is here. they say that the bikes are imported from thailand, stepping in india. obviously, the ninja is going to be the high-performance bike in india, with its twin cylinder 249cc, 4-stroke liquid cooled engine producing a maximum power of 32 bhp at 11000 rpm. its maximum torque is 22 nm at 8200 rpm. it features fuel injection. its 6 speed transmission delivers an extraordinary pick-up, that it could reach 100 kmph within 6 seconds from rest. its top speed is claimed to be 176 kmph, however it could reach much more than that. the fuel tank is big enough to carry 17 liters. its fuel consumption would be around 20 to 25 kmpl.
 when it comes to the looks, ninja claim to be the perfect sports bike all over the world. its dimensions are stated as 2085 mm long, 1115 mm tall and 715 mm in width. its seat height from the ground is 790mm, which seem to be a little low as we have used tall bikes in india. its 1400mm wheel base, delivers a sturdy drive on the highways with a ground clearance of 130mm.
 ninja features an analogue gauge in the panel, where digital was expected, however it is not going to be a big deal. it consists of many essential features like pass light, low fuel, oil and battery indicator. the bike weighs 169 kg, which is 38 kg more than r15. the bike comes with 37mm hydraulic telescopic suspension at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. it features 290mm hydraulic front disc brake and 220 mm petal rear disc brake.
sports bikes are the recent trend in the indian market with the yamaha’s r15 and r1 and the hero honda’s karizma zmr and now ninja adds to it. the kawasaki ninja 250r doesn’t have any direct competitors here in indian market. however it could be compared with yamaha r15 and hero honda karizma zmr by the bikers.
