MEI number is nothing but15 digit International Mobile Equipment identity number that helps in keeping track of the mobile phones. This also helps to know the mobile maker and to know if it is registered with the mobile phone operator. Illegally manufactured Korean handsets and China handsets one of the few that are not approved by the mobile phone manufacturers and so they do not have valid IMEI number check. There are lots of chances for anti-social elements to use these phones since it is very difficult to keep track of these phones. Hence the government has decided ban all the mobiles that do not have a valid IMEI numbers( verification).
Central government has taken strict measures against the IMEI numbers and has announced the mobile phone users to get a valid IMEI number before Nov 30. Failing to do so will result in their cell phone becoming non-operational from Dec 1st. Those who do not have IMEI numbers can obtain from Mobile Standards of India for the cost of Rs 199.As the deadline is nearing people are rushing to the authorized centers to get their registration done.

And I confirm these numbers are valid IMEI from the service provider. But since yesterday my sim1 is working but sim2 shows invalid sim. So pls help me how to rectify my mobile such problem.

I didn’t know that we must and should have two IMEI for two sims also not for handlset. So help me out with another IMEI number for where should i register ?
